After years of research and having many different types of hair extensions.
Sitting down with Felicia Freeman Licensed cosmetologist and hair extension expert. She quotes "The hair extensions we use are the Cinderella Keratin bond hair extensions. It is made out off 100% human hair. The keratin bond extensions are non-damaging to your natural hair. They carry a wide range of colors and different lengths and textures to suit the style you desire. This type of hair extension looks natural, are easy to maintain and can be worn for several months."
Do’s and Don’ts
Do brush your lashes with a clean mascara wand daily (provided with application)
Do opt for a gel cleanser and wash your face gently
If you choose to wear mascara (trust me, you don’t need it :) ), use one that is water-based (not waterproof)
Don’t curl your lashes–they’re already perfectly curled anyway!
Avoid steam and oil-based makeup removers
For the first 24 hours, don’t apply water to your lashes
Now these are just recommendations to maintain the longest life of your lashes. If you get some water on your lashes before 24 hours or forget to brush your lashes for a day or two–its no big deal, mine held up just fine :)
Synthetic vs. Mink Lashes
Synthetic Lashes: thicker, heaver, and more full. They also offer that perfect lash curve and uniform appearance while still appearing natural. Perfect for special occasion and short-term wear (i.e. vacations).
Mink Lashes: weightless, natural-looking, and longer lasting. However, they are thinner than their synthetic counterparts and will probably require mascara to get the same look as synthetic. They are not made from animal fur they are made from plastic also just but just like real hair. If your stylist says they are made from real mink they do not know what they are talking about as that could cause infection and irritation.
Personally, I’m a big fan of the mink lashes because they are non-irritating (if you are going to continue lashes for a long period of time), they look perfect and yet so natural, and are easy to maintain. They also last fairly long and as long as you care for them–they’ll only fall out with your natural lashes. BUT, you can also go with a customized blend and get the best of both worlds ;)
