What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
A new study in The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology this month examined the difference between the use of Botox and Dysport for the forehead wrinkles. A study by Doctors Nestor and Ablon examined patients who had half of their forehead injected with Dysport and the other half with Botox. They found that results lasted almost 4 months with Dysport compared to about 2 and half months with Botox based on looking at the forehead. When they used computer imaging, which is more exact, effects lasted about 14 weeks with Dysport compared to 12 weeks with Botox.
